Characteristics – Raw Material Properties

Comprised of 100% cellulose fibres and water, ZEOFORM is self-binding and completely non-toxic – in harvest, manufacturing, use and disposal.


The non-toxic pulp formed by mixing ZEOFORM with water can be coloured, poured, sprayed, moulded or shaped into flat, curved, cylindrical or spherical forms. These forms are then dried, worked, finished and coated to create beautiful and functional objects of all kinds.

ZEOFORM can be cut, routed, machined, drilled, screwed, nailed and glued in much the same way as wood and wood composites.

Density & Structure

Lighter than cork to denser than Ebony. Numerous organic minerals can be added to ZEOFORM to approximate stone, marble, plastics, wood / composites, metals and other materials.

Low/Medium density ZEOFORM (0.5 – 0.9 g/cm3)
Primarily for products requiring lightweight, thermal, insulative and acoustical properties.

High density ZEOFORM (1.0 – 1.5 g/cm3)
For products requiring a high strength-to-weight ratio, such as building products, automotive parts, electronics etc.

Water Resistance

Higher density ZEOFORM is inherently water-resistant. This can be enhanced to suit virtually any application or industry – utilizing surface coatings and ‘nano-blended’ solutions. New technologies will allow for ‘nature-like’ surfaces with hydrophobic properties.

ZEOFORM is working with leading eco-coatings companies to develop coatings capable of resisting the world’s harshest conditions.

Fire Resistance

High density ZEOFORM is inherently fire resistant (Bfs/s1 rating, according to BS EN 13501 standards). Performance can be significantly enhanced with the addition of natural and synthetic compounds.
