Feedstock Planning 

Zeoform Micro Pulp (ZMP) is ideal for use as a sustainable manufacturing material. The nano and micro fibrillated cellulose in ZMP are one-millionth of the size of human hair, stronger than kevlar and more versatile than wood.  ZMP can also be customised for colour, function and form. 

Planning is a critical component of any production process. For example, improper management of feedstocks and their volumes and quality can significantly impact profitability and efficiency. Most manufacturers have long-term supply agreements and must have the space to continue receiving feedstock, even when production is paused, for example, for annual maintenance or unplanned disruptions.

Feedstock Preparation

The preparation process can be very different depending on the type of feedstock. For example, natural fibres (such as those found in industrial hemp, agricultural waste, and wood) can vary in quality and must be thoroughly sorted, washed and chipped to remove impurities before mechanical fibrillation. 

The quality and source of your feedstock will often determine the level of pre-treatment required to prepare it for the active refining process. For example, suppose you use raw hemp plants as the primary feedstock. You may need to consider decortication, fibre cleaning and fiberisation before being suspended in water and fed into the mechanical refiners.
